Sirma has announced the release of the second version of its innovative mobile electronic medical record - Medrec:M, just a week after the official launch of the application. With the 2.0 release, the users will have access to new useful and convenient functionality - document storage and classification.
Medrec: M is the latest generation mobile application designed to collect data and monitor users’ health condition. The users can record their health symptoms and vital signs and analyze information about their current health status, which in turn will assist doctors in better diagnosis and recommendation of more appropriate therapy.
The new Medrec:M 2.0 store and classify critical medical documents in your mobile health record
With Medrec:M 2.0, users can upload and store essential check-ups, laboratory tests, and medical-related documents for them, as well as the ability to view and download a file into the device. When adding a file, it is selected from the following types of documents: None (type), Epicrisis, Recipe, Laboratory results, Medical Reports, Referral, Other.
All documents are stored on a dedicated secure server in an encrypted version. As a result, only the user and those he chooses to share with can view and access the contents of the files.
For easier document management, the user has to add a document title and also can enter a category (tag) and an explanatory note, as well as choosing a date if they want a different time record from the current one. Users allow whether or not the sharing of a document.
You can attach files directly or add them after taking a picture with the camera of the phone. Within the existing list of stored documents, the users can filter by different criteria and select only those that they need for a specific action or consultation.
How does Medrec:M work?
Medrec:M application enables users to collect and record his/her medical data, symptoms, results of examinations, medication, diagnoses, epicrises, etc. If necessary, the user can easily share their data with a doctor. They can use the “share” feature in the mobile app, indicating the doctor only by entering the email address, with which he has registered in Medrec: M. One of the functionalities of the system allows the doctor to decline the acceptance of the invitation to access the patient’s data. And the patient can see if his/her request to share has been accepted, accordingly.
The product consists of a mobile application-currently available for the Android platform (users of the iPhone will be able to access the application since May 2020), and Medrec:M Monitor – a portal for doctors.
