Tsvetan Alexiev, CEO of Sirma Group Holding AD, has been elected to the newly formed Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Association of Software Companies (BASSCOM) following the association’s annual general assembly on 27 May 2026.
At the meeting, BASSCOM members re-elected Krum Hadzhigeorgiev as Chairman and outlined the industry’s strategic priorities for the coming term, with a strong focus on AI adoption, talent development and the international positioning of Bulgaria’s software sector. The assembly also marked BASSCOM’s 25th anniversary, highlighting the association’s long-standing role as a leading voice for Bulgaria’s technology industry in the country and across Europe.
BASSCOM’s priorities for the period ahead include accelerating AI integration across public administration and business, strengthening investment in education and technology schools, improving the business and entrepreneurship environment through active institutional dialogue, enhancing the international visibility of the Bulgarian technology brand, and supporting cross-sector partnerships and innovation.
