Sirma CEO Tsvetan Alexiev Discusses Growth Strategy and Global Expansion on Bloomberg TV Bulgaria
Tsvetan Alexiev, CEO of Sirma Group, joined Bloomberg TV Bulgaria’s Business Start, hosted by Hristo Nikolov, to discuss the global economic and geopolitical environment and its impact on Sirma’s business, investment priorities, and growth strategy.
Against a challenging backdrop shaped by the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, Sirma is actively exploring new high-potential markets as part of its strategy to diversify its geographic presence and expand its portfolio of products and services. Asia-Pacific and Australia are among the regions where the company sees significant opportunities for further growth.
A key step in this direction is Sirma’s planned acquisition of Jucari Global, an Australian provider of transport and logistics solutions. The transaction is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks. Jucari already operates across markets including Japan, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Australia, providing Sirma with a stronger platform for expansion in the region. The company also plans to enhance Jucari’s three SaaS products with new AI capabilities.
During the interview, Alexiev also commented on Sirma’s consolidated financial results for the first half of 2026 and the company’s recent participation in the Hamburg Investor Days, as part of its efforts to increase Sirma’s visibility among investors in Germany and the wider DACH region. The event was streamed via Montega AG’s Airtime platform.
Europe remains Sirma’s core market. The growing emphasis on data sovereignty and digital independence from US technology providers is closely aligned with the company’s capabilities and positioning. Sirma’s partnership with STACKIT, the cloud and colocation provider of Schwarz Digits, further supports its ambitions in enterprise AI and sovereign technology solutions.
At the same time, the challenging European economic environment is encouraging Sirma to broaden its growth horizons. The company sees Asia-Pacific and Australia as increasingly important markets, while pursuing a more selective strategy in the US, particularly around AI-driven opportunities.
