OECD Science and Technology Policy Committee organises a discussion on public support for business R&D and innovation
Atanas Kiriakov, member of the Board of Directors of Sirma Group Holding and CEO of Sirma AI, traded as Ontotext, will participate in a discussion on innovation and R&D in Bulgaria with the OECD Science and Technology Policy Committee. The event will be hosted at the Ministry of Education and Science in Sofia, Bulgaria, on Dec 18-19, 2023.
Atanas Kiriakov, a well-known technological visionary in the fields of semantic technologies and artificial intelligence, will be participating in a discussion organized by the Ministry of Education and Science with representatives from the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) Science and Technology Policy Committee. This discussion is a part of the organization’s upcoming mission to Sofia and is also a part of the technical reviews that Bulgaria is undergoing in connection with its application for membership.
The Science and Technology Policy Committee’s mission is to evaluate Bulgaria’s innovation ecosystem and the government’s objectives and strategy. Leaders are expected to share their visions and strategies on the best approach for public support of innovation, business research, and development, including tax credits, incentives for business research and development, technology transfer, and the start-up ecosystem.
